Any driver and/or team wishing to join the oneGP F1 Series is welcome to leave any questions or information here and will be answered as soon as possible by one of the oneGP admin group members

We are welcoming individual drivers to the series as well as teams, so if you are a solo driver looking to take part then feel free to request a spot in the series. We may even be able to match you with other individuals to form a new team for series.

Forum Cleanup and New Administrator rights

Now that im back in one way or another, its time for me to get the forum tidyed up and on track again, so will be some changes made and links updated etc over next few days (some will already be noticable)

Also to prevent problems with the oneGP forum again, should i or anyone else "disappear off the face of the earth", several users will be given administrator rights to this forum, so they may edit/sticky/annouce etc without any problems and be able to run things as needed.

In Silvers abscence due to PC problems, a back up plan for Round5 is on the table.

This is the proposed plan for the event, any problems with this please post today so we can discuss..there is not mutch time to prepare.

NDR's Dekojester who is race director of the Kyoto500, 250 and LFSBC has offered to stand in as Race Director for Round5.

I have worked with Deko a few times and hes a very competant Race Controller. One of the best around.

As for Silver, I think he's having computer issues. If he is then I know he's doing his best to get back online before Saturday. Lets have faith for now but does anyone have a clan server that we can use in case Silver doesn't make it back before the race?

For those that havent followed the discussions in server after round 4 or here in forum, it has been decided that round 5 will be changed to FE3 Gold rather than FE2 Green as it proves a much more suitable circuit for the BF1.

There is a set layout for this circuit, and is done for very specific reasons. That first chicane is terrible for cars attempting to straightline it at full speed (spend some time on CTRA etc and its always shown to be a distaster), and this often doesnt affect the driver ...

Considering TFalke55 mentioned he had PC probs at time of making the vid, im very impressed with it , let alone that he even managed to make it at all.

After the recent discussion regarding start times of oneGP rounds, i can now confirm that the times change will come into affect at round 3. The new start time will be 2hours later than we have previously be running:

Qualifying will now be at 1:40pm GMT

Race Start at 2pm GMT

oneGP Event Rules and guidelines now updated - new points to note are as follows:

3F - new rule added regarding blocking messages

6C - new process for post race appeals added

7B - new conditions added to safety car periods

8A - driver names details updated

9 - New qualification procedures

10 - Amendments and Admin decisions re-number to 10, previously was point 9.

The ruleset download has also been updated to reflect these changes

Race appeals for round 2

As i have a new member to the review board (who ill annouce in a moment in the oneGP news threads) there may be a little delay of another 48hrs for appeal desicions. I have already reviewed them myself and have a fair idea of the outcomes but i would like to forward all appeals on to our new review board member too so he can have his opinion on the outcomes. This will make the process much fairer and faster for future rounds, so i hope you all can forgive any delays for this round.

Server News

After the lag issues of previous round i had requested a move of the server from US to UK, this has now been done by 500servers and the server is now located out of London. So feel free to jump on and test it out before the next round on the 14th of June.

Also the server is running a few applications to make racing inbetween rounds a bit more interesting - It now features automatic restarts after races and auto track rotations using all the tracks of the oneGP series, as well as its normal ...

New Review Board Member

oneGP would like to welcome J@tko to the oneGP review board. Im sure with his previous experiences he can lend a very valuble eye to the appeals process and help us reach fair and fast desicions.

In the future all race appeals will be reviewed by both of us individually, before we come together to decided on our final outcome.

RACE TIME CHANGE ???

Its been proposed that a start time of 3 hours later would maybe better suit many racers and allow some new entrants to join the series. This would see qual the start at 2:40pm GMT and Race Start at 3:00pm GMT. Im happy to do this if it is fine with all teams. If not, then the start times will remain as they are now.

Could all drivers or managers please let me know how this suits them and their team please.

For all the BF1 drivers/fans out there id like to point you all to the Formula500 BF1 Forumla One Series, this looks like another great F1 based series and anyone considering entering more leagues as a driver should consider this league. I myself will be driving in this series too (as running oneGP it wouldnt be right for me to race in oneGP too) for AirAttack Racing, as will Slen.

Would be great to see some of the oneGP drivers entering this series too, or other members of oneGP teams. Signups ...

SERVER DETAILS BETWEEN SERIES ROUNDS:

To make better use of the server and provide some entertaining racing between any oneGP rounds, the server has now been set to rotate (using vcom) through 14 S1 compatible tracks for short individual races with the FBM.

The format for this day to day racing is 10 races with laps based on a 30km distance (for most tracks this means around 10 laps) before an automatic track change to a random track in the rotation set. Typing !rotator will show tracks ...

Support Series Categories start date

For those that aren't aware or are unsure, the support series

categories have had their start date changed to round 3 of the oneGP

season ,and will not be starting with this weekends first round - this

is to allow more time to fill the grid spots or determine if the have

Driver Contracts

In the next few days all team managers will be issued with information regarding contracts with their team drivers. This will be to safe guard all drivers postions within a team for the period agreed to between driver and team manager. Once recieved by team managers this will need to be agreed to by both parties, and returned to the oneGP Group for approval before the first round of the series.
