Hey Gil, only reason that thread is locked is to keep the appeals and penalties all together and easy to read/find - maybe i should start an open thread on appeals discussion. ( ill move this convo into it when i do)

Yeah i do realise that when jason blocked msgs, it was when one of the HR gusy started talking in last minute of qual - thats why i left all as just mere warnings.

The only reason shift P isnt blocked altogether is mainly due to hoping to keep the grid sizes up - its a compromise on setting the new 4sec limit to ensure a certain respectable/safe level of driving standards, and not having too many drivers miss the cut by dropping out of qual.

Im open to suggestions here on what works best regarding shift P, but one thing i am set with is the 4sec rule - to me that is essential to keep the standards to a fair level.

(oh a small note - ive checked the race times, and no 10sec penalties have affect the finish order)

Actually ill keep this discussion in this thread, its the best place to discuss rules etc anyway.

One point i would like to add is that i would like to see any thoughts on rules and possible changes or clarification take place here before a race, not on race day. Race day is too late to be changing any rules and tends to create more confusion and problems.

Id hope to think im fair and open to discussion on anything relating to oneGP, and i have no probs with people questioning my desicions or ideas - so all should feel free to raise any issues or questions they have and we can work our way through them Smile

Hey, just a quick request.

Is it possible to raise the qual time to 20 mins seeing as we now have to do proper outlaps and inlaps please. 15 mins is really not enough to get a good time imo. A few bad lucks and you have a bad position.

Yeah. That sounds like a good idea. 20 minutes or even 25min with a 5min break before the race.

Silver when we discussed this after the last round had agreed to make qualifying time 20 minutes with a 5 min break prior to the race.

This will be implemented, as per his decision for round 5.

Best, Maz
