(Note: This is a mirror of the post at the LFS Fourms for oneGP.)

So, I figured I'd start this since I was the head honcho of today's run.

Results and stuff coming later today. I'll be posting them overnight my
time (EDT USA) after I get other things I have scheduled done.

Please feel free to comment on anything about the race.

If you wish to contest something, please email it to jpalmerjp (at)
gmail.com. I will follow the same appeal process as the rules dictates.

I thought you did a great job given the amount of preparation time available. One comment, thank you Deko and NDR Team for the standing in and putting on a well run event. Looking forward to round 6 already.

Some other comments to comments to come, just watching the replays but looks a great job in admining a difficult race, especially given the time available to prepare.

Apologies for the network issues effecting the #1 servers host and #4 server will be left set for practise for R6.

Many thanks, all the best, Maz

Also, tonight, I'm going to scrtinize everyone's race from today.

Expect that I will have a nice long list of penalties. And these won't
just be against the drivers, it'll be against the whole teams.

Reasoning: The teams control who drives in the races. Therefore, the
teams should ensure that their drivers are fully briefed and prepared
to represent them in the fashion the team wishes. In the end, the
driver is still driving for the team, and therefore the team is also to
be held accountable for their representative's actions.

I am holding EVERYONE to a very high standard - I interpret the purpose
of this series to be very similar to F1, and therefore you all should
be held to high standards. I am not afraid to take away a win due to a
severe transgression.

I was very dissapointed in the behavior of a few drivers. These
exhibited to me a mentality which is not, in my mind, how a race driver
in an elite series such as this should behave. Disregard for rules, not
obeying administrator commands, and more.

But that said, I do expect that the future rounds will go much better.
I look forward to seeing you all in two week's time for Round 6.

Dek, I would just like to say what a great admin you were today. Seriously, you were amazing Very Happy

I would also like to say sorry for asking you to rejoin after "some idiot" knocked me into the tyres on the first lap. I know the rules, but you can imagine how angry I was at the time.

Regards,

Robybobey

Yeah mate, after hundreds of hours of practice, laps and laps at FEG, i thought to myself, i know, i'll ruin my race on the first corner. scratch If you watch the replay, you can see that I was taking it easy into the first corner, then had nowhere to go as AMB trapped me out, I tried braking when I realised AMB was beside me, but by then it was too late

Great race by Adam there... Well done!

I'm very sorry about M.Beattie's behaviour, I can promise you all this will not happen again, especially since he will not be driving for us again.

Because I don't feel like spamming both LFS and this forum for penalty posts, all penalties will be announced in the oneGP forum on LFS.

Thanks.

With this post it concludes the investigations. You have until 48 hours
from the timestamp on this posting to appeal a decision, via an email
with the penalty (as posted), your team, and your justification for why
the penalty should be reduced, increased, etc.

Follow this link to get final results: http://new-dimension-racing.bravehos...sOfficial.html

Points files will be uploaded shortly.

The use of non team drivers standing in for regular team drivers must be explored and clarified. This was brought up on server with Silver post WE1r round4.

At round5 Beatie was being posted links to the rules minutes before the race session began. He is not a SR driver, neither was the winner.

FRO entered this series with other expectations, we do not expect or find it acceptable to have our drivers smashed out of position behind safety cars or crashed by this weeks hotlap leaders. This is not racing.

Our team is a new team derived from full time FRO drivers, we dont use 'standins' as all of our team members would step up and compete for our team. If a member cant collect points, he will have given his best to do so. We make big efforts to compete, give all. This is racing.

Best, Maz
